23 Jul A couple of commissions
I often welcome commissions. Sometimes clients have a specific idea in mind of what they want…sometimes they just have a rough idea, perhaps just colours or sometimes they view something in my current portfolio but its the wrong size. Although no original painting can ever be duplicated I can usually produce something that is very close. I always work on a none obligation basis which makes commissioning something very relaxed and there is no pressure on the client or indeed myself. If the commission isn’t right then I simply add the painting to my existing portfolio. These were two very labour intensive commissions that took roughly 3 months to produce. I had to mix up numerous small batches of glow in the dark resin and then meticulously applied it to create the patterns you can see here. Unfortunately due to the time frame available in working with resin, there were long hours without breaks…extremely challenging for me as I have a very short attention span…however, aiming for the end result was what motivated me!
