17 Jun Banqueting Hall at night
The way the glow the dark pigment works is the UV element charges throughout the day in either daylight or normal room lighting and this gives it a charge that allows it to glow as the night draws in. As it happens, this particular venue had no windows but was fully lit during the day. This was a perfect location for a series like this because in the evening the venue dimmed the lights to create an evening atmosphere and although the lights would never be fully switched off…the dimmed setting would still allow the pieces to glow in twilight while allowing the daytime image to still show through. However, just for the interest of this site I’ve photographed how they look in utter darkness.
